RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. — The co-founder of the “Salt Life” brand was arrested after a teen was found dead in a South Florida hotel room, investigators said.
Michael Troy Hutto, 54, was suffering a medical emergency Friday in Jacksonville and was taken to a hospital for treatment, WJAX reported.
While at the hospital, Riviera Beach detectives met Hutto, who is a suspect in the death of Lora Grace Duncan, a Lake City teen who was found fatally shot Thursday in a hotel room at the Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront/Palm Beaches Resort, WJAX reported.
Hutto was released from the hospital and taken into custody by investigators. He was arrested and charged with manslaughter and possession of a firearm, according to Palm Beach County jail records.
