HARRISONBURG, Va. — An explosion at a Virginia shopping center Saturday morning caused at least three injuries, officials said.
Harrisonburg firefighters said three people were taken to hospitals, WHSV reported. Two of the victims suffered serious injuries.
Some nearby businesses were impacted by the explosion, but no serious damage has been reported, the Daily Record reported.
Gov. Ralph Northam pledged to provide support to the area.

First responders and firefighters are on the scene, and we have deployed state emergency personnel for additional support. Please avoid the area.
It is unclear what sparked the explosion.
