Latto gave fans an unexpected surprise during the Atlanta stop of Lizzo’s Special Tour Saturday and brought out Democratic candidate for Governor of Georgia, Stacey Abrams.
Holding a "My body, my choice" sign, Abrams made her appearance during Latto's performance of "Pxssy," which the Atlanta rapper made in response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade earlier this summer. Latto then gave the mic to Abrams, who encouraged fans to stand up for their rights and exercise their right to vote.
"I'm not going to interrupt your fun," Abrams is heard saying in a clip posted to Twitter. "I just want to remind you that if you believe it's 'My body, my choice,' I need your vote."
Latto and the crowd broke out in cheers and applause before Abrams shouted, "This is our time, this is our choice."
Latto has previously spoken out on issues regarding women's rights.
"It's giving pro-choice," she said during her Best New Artist acceptance speech at the 2022 BET Awards in June. "It's never giving a man policing my body."
Abrams’ appearance during the tour stop marks the latest for the politician, who will be on the ballot for Governor of Georgia in the 2022 midterm elections on November 8.
