Hip-hop icon, actor T.I. to film first-ever comedy special at Center Stage Atlanta

ATLANTA — Atlanta hip-hop icon, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and community leader T.I. is set to film his first-ever comedy special soon.

An Evening of Comedy with Tip Harris is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday Jan. 19 and Monday Jan. 20 at Centerstage Atlanta, located at 1374 Peachtree St.

Monday’s show will feature the HaHa Mafia, a group of talented and dynamic comedians and creatives including Kelly K Dubb, Erica Duchess, Ronnie Jordan, Tyler Chronicles, Navv Greene, and Jayski.

T.I. has been busy working with a “jam packed” comedy circuit around the country for most of the last two years. He has had shows at City Winery in Atlanta, and New York, The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club in Las Vegas, The Improv in Los Angeles, and more.

T.I. also recently appeared on an episode of BET’s Comic View on BET+.

He is also the founder of the Atlanta-based social justice non-profit organization Us or Else. He has consistently given back to his community through his Harris Community Works organization and inspires everyone around him.

In December of 2024, T.I. partnered with Next Level Boys Academy to provide students with the annual shopping spree and some encouraging words ahead of the holidays.

T.I. also collaborated with fellow Atlanta rapper, philanthropist, and community leader Killer Mike to reopen Bankhead Seafood located off Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in Bankhead in November of 2024.

In 2023, T.I. opened the Intrada Westside, his first affordable housing development minutes from Bankhead Seafood, also on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. He also owns the world-renown Trap Music Museum.

The self-proclaimed “King of the South” has released 11 albums on Billboard including multiple chart-topping albums. His last album titled “The Libra: The Legend Is Back Running Atlanta” was released in 2020.

He has released many hits, features, and underground songs including “24′s”, “Bring Em Out,” “In Da A,” “Rubber Band Man,” “You Don’t Know Me,” “What You Know,” “Big Things Poppin,” “Swagga Like Us,” “Top Back,” “About The Money,” “Step,” “We In This,” “No Matter What,” “Family Connect,” “No Mediocre,” “My Potna,” and more.
