Drake requests "writing the best bounce back story" after allegedly undergoing knee surgery

It looks like global superstar Drake is down for the count, but not for long.

Over the weekend, the "Laugh Now, Cry Later" rapper shared a photo on his Instagram story of his right leg wrapped and in a knee brace, which led fans to believe he'd had knee surgery.

"I actually want to use this post to send love and motivation to anybody else that 2020 let loose on,” Drake wrote alongside the photos. "Start writing the best bounce back story NOW!"

Despite not sharing further details about what actually happened to his knee, fans took to social media to wish Drake a speed recovery.

"Don't know [what happened] but we wish him a speedy recovery to the 6god... the rap game is already in shambles without him," one fan wrote on Twitter.

The timing couldn't have been worse for Drake, who's currently working on his highly-anticipated forthcoming album, Certified Lover Boy. Ahead of the album's release, which could come early next year, Drake recently dropped a merch line in collaboration with Nike to promote it.  The line is available at DrakeRelated.com, featuring caps, socks, a heart-embroidered bomber jacket available in pink and black, and T-shirts with Certified Lover Boy written on the back.
