Ella Mai reportedly sent a cease and desist letter to Jacquees for allegedly making money off the remix he posted on Youtube and SoundCloud, Newsweek reports.
Jacquees's "Trip" remix outperformed Ella Mai's original.
T-Pain commented on the situation on Twitter by saying, “Everybody be asking me why I don’t put my tmixes and shit on Spotify tidal and iTunes and shit. This is why.”
Jacquees took to Twitter to respond after his version was pulled down from Soundcloud and Youtube.

A statement from Jacquees' team says that they remain hopeful that he and Mai will team up for an "original collaboration" down the line, according to Billboard.com.
