A mural honoring the late rapper and community activist painted at a skate park in Hartford, CT has been vandalized over the weekend by a woman was caught on video, WFSB reported.

Local Connecticut Grammy-nominated muralist, Corey Pane, painted the mural beginning of April at the Heaven Skate Park in Hartford. "I was down there by myself just painting just to do it, and then it just kinda blew up into something we never even expected," the artist told Connecticut Style on WTNH during an interview on April 5, 2019.

The video of the vandalism that surfaced online over the weekend shows a woman spray painting cherries over the Nipsey Hussle's mural. Watch the video here.  A local rapper and a school teacher later decided to help fix the mural, Fox61 reported.

According to reports, the artist Corey Pane has not made any comments since the vandalism. Read the full story on WFSB.com.
